Ecommerce Account Executive
We are looking for an Ecommerce Account Executive to join our growing ecommerce team within the fulfilment and logistics sector of a thriving third-party logistics operation. As part of a wider business established in 1851, we work with a broad range of well-known household names, supporting clients with reliable, efficient and customer-focused fulfilment solutions.
Our ecommerce team specialises in B2B retail fulfilment, operational guidance, retail compliance processes and B2C online order fulfilment for a varied client base. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, coordinating requests across internal teams and helping to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced operational environment.
The role
As an Ecommerce Account Executive, you will act as the day-to-day business-as-usual contact for client queries and requests, helping to manage activity through the business while ensuring clients receive a responsive, professional and consistent service. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, support the wider Ecommerce Project Management team, and play an important role in maintaining strong client relationships and operational standards.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the BAU contact for client queries, requests and day-to-day account support.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage client requirements through the business effectively.
- Support the wider Ecommerce Project Management team during periods of increased workload, account cover or annual leave.
- Develop a strong understanding of lead accounts and supporting accounts within the allocated team structure.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service, striving to provide clients with practical, achievable and value-adding solutions.
- Set personal and account objectives as part of monthly development planning.
- Proactively review processes and procedures to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Act as the eyes and ears of client perception, sharing feedback and insight to help strengthen the client experience.
- Ensure account housekeeping is maintained, including accurate monthly metrics, timely reporting and correct filing of client invoice copies.
- Work in line with agreed company operating procedures and ensure account procedures remain accurate and up to date.
- Monitor cost control, ensuring clients are quoted where applicable and that completed work aligns with agreed quotations.
- Contribute positively to team meetings and RTMs, offering benchmarking ideas and practical suggestions based on everyday account experience.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who is confident communicating with clients and internal teams. You will be comfortable managing multiple requests, prioritising workload and following processes while also looking for ways to improve how things are done. A positive approach, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service are essential.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in account management, client services, ecommerce, fulfilment, logistics or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing information, metrics, quotes and account documentation.
- A solution-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge, improve and support operational processes.
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues during busy periods.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to join a growing ecommerce operation within a well-established business that continues to evolve and invest in its people, processes and client partnerships. You will be part of a supportive team working with a wide range of clients across B2B and B2C fulfilment, helping to deliver effective solutions in a busy and rewarding sector.
