An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Supply Chain Department as a full-time Stores Operative, at Innovia Films, Wigton.
Innovia Films are a leading global manufacturer of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films, supplying highly differentiated speciality products into the packaging, labels, tobacco overwrap and securities markets.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Stores Operative to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Buyer & Warehousing Lead, with responsibility for maintaining stock levels and ensuring the efficient operation of the stores and warehouse function.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Maintain compliance with quality, health & safety, and company procedures.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or collection.
- Receive, unload, inspect, label, store, and goods receipt (GR) stock.
- Purchase stock following daily MRP requirements.
- Operate and carry out basic preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on open purchase orders to maintain stock availability.
- Support audit requirements through strong inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Optimise warehouse storage space and efficiency.
. What skills will you need?
We're looking for a proactive and organised individual with experience in warehouse and inventory environments. You'll have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively in a busy setting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working to deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and contributing positively as part of a team while also being able to work independently. Experience with inventory management systems is desirable, and SAP knowledge or a current forklift licence would be advantageous.

The salary for this role will be £28,355.91, depending on relevant experience.
Additionally, you will be given 25 days holiday (plus 8 statutory bank holidays) per year
