Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Bar and Restaurant Manager to support the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will play a vital part in fostering a welcoming environment while managing daily operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of the bar and restaurant
- Supervise and support team members, including serving staff, bartenders, and kitchen personnel
- Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service are maintained at all times
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth service
- Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing development for existing team members
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction
- Support in organising events or special promotions within the venue
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas
Experience
- Proven experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Pub experience with knowledge of food production, kitchen procedures, and service standards
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation and cooking is highly desirable
- Experience in managing teams effectively within a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality management
- Barista experience or knowledge of bar operations is advantageous
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience will be considered an asset
- Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities
This role offers an exciting tips and service charge along with hourly pay , bonus incentives on turnover rates.
