Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage order processing efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, and utensils, to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining a friendly attitude.
Experience
- Minimum 3 year of barista experience (speciality coffee experience preferred).
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous to uphold hygiene regulations.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps ensure excellent service delivery.
- Basic skills in food preparation are desirable to assist with additional kitchen tasks when required.
- Proficiency in basic maths is necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods and maintain efficiency throughout shifts.
