The Role
We are looking for a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our workshop team. You will work within a professional fabrication environment delivering engineered projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery across sectors including industrial, food & drink, life sciences, construction and specialist engineering work.
Typical projects include process pipework, high purity pipework systems, skid fabrication, tank fabrication and bespoke structural platforms, requiring a high level of fabrication accuracy and workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Perform cutting, fabrication, welding, dressing and finishing operations
- MIG / MAG and TIG welding across carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Work on a range of fabrication projects including process pipework, skids, tanks and structural platforms
- Use a range of hand tools, fabrication equipment and welding machinery
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure assemblies are produced accurately and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of quality control in line with ISO 9001 requirements
- Operate within a Lean manufacturing workshop environment focused on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Maintain strong health and safety standards
Experience & Skills
- Previous metal fabrication experience (3+ years preferred)
- MIG / MAG and TIG welding capability
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with stainless steel and aluminium
- Good understanding of workshop quality standards and fabrication tolerances
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
