The Role
You will be one of the first points of contact for our patients and will support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients and dealing with enquiries professionally
- Answering telephone calls and managing appointment requests
- Booking, cancelling and rearranging appointments
- Processing patient queries and administrative requests
- Handling emails, correspondence and clinical administration
- Supporting prescription and referral-related administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Liaising with GPs, nurses and other members of the practice team
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Providing excellent customer service in a busy healthcare environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Confident communicating with patients in person and by telephone
- Organised and able to work effectively in a busy environment
- Reliable and a good team player
- Comfortable using computers and administrative systems
- Able to deal sensitively with confidential information
Previous GP surgery or NHS experience is desirable but not essential. Experience with SystemOne would be an advantage.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
