We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, not-for-profit organisation that provides specialist Residential Family Assessment Services. The Role
As the Registered Residential Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the residential family centre. You'll ensure the service consistently delivers safe, high-quality, trauma-informed care while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted regulations and National Minimum Standards.
Working closely with Social Workers, commissioners and partner agencies, you'll create a positive, reflective culture where both families and staff can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing residential team
- Creating a positive, trauma-informed and relationship-based culture
- Ensuring excellent safeguarding practice and effective risk management
- Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and Residential Family Centre Standards
- Overseeing parenting assessments and ensuring they are evidence-based and completed within required timescales
- Leading quality assurance, audits and continuous service improvement
- Managing budgets, staffing, occupancy and operational performance
- Supporting staff through supervision, coaching and professional development
- Building strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners and external professionals
- Preparing the service for Ofsted inspections and managing regulatory requirements
About You
We're looking for an experienced and compassionate leader who combines strong operational management with excellent safeguarding knowledge and a passion for improving outcomes for children and families.
You'll ideally have:
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Social Work England registration
- Management qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
- Experience leading an Ofsted-regulated residential service
- Experience working with vulnerable children and families
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection legislation and Residential Family Centre Regulations
- Experience managing complex risk and multi-agency working
- Excellent leadership, communication and report-writing skills
- The ability to inspire, motivate and develop teams
