Role Overview
Due to continued growth, we have created an additional Yard Operative position at our Twycross site. We are looking for a reliable individual to join our team and support our expanding operations. This is a hands-on role where you will help keep the yard operating safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised working environment, assisting with vehicle loading and unloading, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a practical approach to work, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Shift Pattern
Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, 40 hours per week.A 4 on 4 off shift pattern may also be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard environment
- Load and unload vehicles using a forklift and other authorised equipment
- Move and store materials safely around the site
- Support the day to day running of the yard and site operations
- Carry out general labouring and housekeeping duties
- Ensure waste and materials are stored correctly
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
- Report any equipment faults, hazards or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Forklift licence is desirable, but not essential
- Previous experience working in a yard, industrial, waste, recycling or operational environment is desirable
- Practical, hardworking and proactive approach
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
