Long established family run business seeking reliable and committed warehouse operatives to join our existing team on a full-time, long-term basis. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for various duties related to the efficient operation of the warehouse. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting, bending and crouching.
Monday-Friday, 10:00-18.30.
Job Role:
- Loading and unloading vehicles with incoming and outgoing shipments
- Receiving stock into the warehouse and checking inventory against purchase orders
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Pallet stacking and wrapping
- Unboxing stock
- Some heavy lifting
- Participating in stock taking
- Maintaining the organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse
Candidate requirements
Skills:
- General fitness (vital due to the physical nature of this role)
- Bendi pivot steer truck licence preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Qualities:
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of products
