The Role
We’re looking for Experienced Groundworkers to join our growing team at Sacx. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering and construction projects across the UK, including secure environments such as military bases and prisons.
This is a hands-on role that requires skill, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality on every job.
Key Responsibilities
As a Groundworker at Sacx, your duties will include:
- Groundworks for foundations, drainage, and ducting installations
- Excavation, trenching, and reinstatement works
- Concrete works including bases, slabs, and formwork
- Installation of kerbs, edging, and paving
- General civil and site preparation works
- Working safely in secure or sensitive environments
- Supporting other trades and ensuring site standards are maintained
About You
We’re seeking dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in doing the job right and contributing to a positive, team-focused site culture.
Essential:
- Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months; max 6 penalty points)
- Previous experience as a Groundworker or Civil Operative
- CSCS card (Blue skilled or above preferred)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Willingness to travel and stay away as required
- Ability to pass a DBS / Security Check
Desirable:
- CPCS / NPORS for plant operation (e.g. dumper, roller, excavator)
- Street Works (NRSWA) qualification
- Confined Spaces certification
- SSSTS / SMSTS
