EV CHARGER INSTALLATION ELECTRICIANS REQUIRED
Locations: Covering the North east of England & Scotland.
Start: Immediate
Pay Rate: £300 per shift
Duration: Ongoing (2 years)
Hours: 08:00–18:00 – 10-hour working day
Van & Fuel Card: Provided
Hotels will be provided when working over an hour away from home.
We are looking for experienced EV Charger Installation Electricians to work on an ongoing commercial hotel project.
We have three locations available
The role involves installing EV charging infrastructure, including pulling heavy cables from existing internal distribution boards through to external car park charging points.
Mandatory Qualifications
- JIB Gold Card – must state Installation or Maintenance Electrician
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or fully completed approved apprenticeship
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – BS 7671
- Initial Verification & Testing – City & Guilds 2391 or legacy 2394/2395
- Individual Level 3 EV Qualification – City & Guilds 2921-34 or older 2921-31
Own Test Equipment Required
Agency electricians must provide their own calibrated test equipment, including:
- Multifunction Tester (MFT)
- EVSE Testing Adapter
- Phase Rotation Tester
- Current Clamp Meter
Specialist Tools Required
Experience and suitable tooling for heavy commercial EV installations, including:
- SWA cable cutters and armour-stripping tools
- Conduit and tray installation tools
- Conduit benders and hole punches
- Torque screwdrivers/wrenches
- Heavy-duty SDS drill and standard power tools
- General electrical hand tools
