Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Child Development & Education Assistant to support the educational and developmental needs of children within a private family setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for nurturing children's growth, with experience in specialised education and working with children with diverse needs. This role offers an enriching environment where you can make a meaningful difference in children's lives through personalised support and guidance.This role is not a nanny or childcare position. We are looking for an individual who can actively support a child's educational development, communication with school, and long-term growth planning.
Duties
- Assist in implementing customised educational programmes tailored to child's developmental requirements.
- Support children with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Provide tutoring and mentoring to enhance learning outcomes and build confidence.
- Collaborate closely with parents and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Support behavioural management strategies to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Encourage communication skills through interactive play, storytelling, and conversational engagement.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, rest periods, and outdoor activities.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
- Background in education or related fields will be considered an advantage.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring children to support their academic and personal development is beneficial.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and organisational skills to manage diverse needs within a private family environment.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree or above (Master's degree preferred).
- Is fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Has excellent spoken and written English.
- Has previous experience working with children, education, tutoring, or family support.
- Is patient, responsible, proactive, and highly organised.
- Has a genuine passion for children's education and development.
- Is familiar with the UK education system and London schools (preferred).
- Parents or candidates with personal parenting experience are welcome but this is not essential.

Pay: £3,000.00-£6,000.00 per month
