This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of Aberavon Seafront, delivering outstanding experiences for thousands of visitors every year.
We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Visitor Services Manager to lead a diverse team, be the main contact for partners and unlock the full potential of this vibrant seafront destination.
In addition for the day-to-day operations of Aberavon Seafront, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for all visitors, you will assist in developing projects in line with the Seafront Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and act as the main point of contact for the Seafront
- Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary operations team including seasonal staff and volunteers
- Work with partners such as RNLI, emergency services and external agencies
- Plan, coordinate and deliver events and activities
- Develop and maximize commercial opportunities and income streams
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing and environmental legislation
- Support delivery of the Seafront Strategy and future development projects
- Manage budgets, bookings and event planning systems

What We Are Looking For
We want someone who is:
- An experienced leader with a background in visitor attractions, leisure or tourism environment
- Confident managing teams, rota’s and operational performance
- Skilled in facilities management and project management
- Knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments and compliance
- Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders, partners and public
- A hands-on, proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends and bank holidays
