Duties
- Assist customers in loading their cars with soil and bags of aggregate.
- Support the organistation and maintenance of the garden centre, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked
- Help with the care of plants and garden areas, including watering and general upkeep to promote healthy growth
- Contribute to merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring signage is clear and informative
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and assisting with receiving deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about gardening techniques, plant care, and product usage
- Be happy to work in all departments when required.
Qualifications
- Passion for gardening and horticulture.
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Excellent organisational skills to manage stock, displays, and daily tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing product displays that attract shoppers
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience in retail or garden center environments is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
