Experienced Part-Time Bartender
Busy Restaurant in Southampton
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Bartender to join our busy and energetic team.
We are looking for someone with strong previous bar experience who is confident working independently behind a busy bar. You should have excellent cocktail knowledge, experience with draught beer systems and be comfortable taking responsibility for keeping the bar organised, clean and running efficiently.
This position is aimed at experienced bartenders – previous bar experience is essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a wide range of cocktails to a high standard
- Serving draught beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks
- Confidently using cocktail-making equipment and techniques
- Setting up and closing down the bar
- Cleaning beer lines and maintaining draught beer equipment
- Changing beer kegs and gas when required
- Monitoring and rotating bar stock
- Restocking fridges, spirits, wines and other bar products
- Ensuring correct measures and responsible service of alcohol
- Maintaining excellent bar cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Washing and polishing glasses and keeping glassware organised
- Preparing cocktail garnishes and ensuring the bar is fully prepared before service
- Keeping the bar organised and fully stocked throughout busy services
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Working closely with the floor and management teams
- Helping with stock counts and identifying low stock or wastage
- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service
- Following all licensing, health & safety and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Strong previous bartending experience is essential
- Excellent knowledge and experience making cocktails
- Experience working in a busy restaurant, cocktail bar or similar environment
- Knowledge of draught beer systems and beer line cleaning
- Confident changing kegs and handling general bar maintenance
- Good knowledge of spirits, wines and beers
- Fast, organised and able to work under pressure
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Full availability for evenings and weekends is essential
Hours
This is a part-time position, with hours depending on the weekly rota and business requirements.
The successful applicant must be flexible and available to work evenings, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and other busy periods when required.
