Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Linen Porter to join our team. This vital role involves ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of linen supplies within our facility, contributing to the smooth operation of our hospitality services. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail. Previous hotel experience is considered a valuable asset for this position.
Duties
- Collect, transport, and distribute clean and soiled linen throughout the hotel or healthcare environment
- Ensure linen supplies are stocked appropriately in designated areas
- Assist with the collection of used linen from guest rooms or departments, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of linen storage areas
- Report any damaged or stained linen for appropriate action
- Follow health and safety procedures to prevent contamination or injury during handling and transportation of linen
- Support other housekeeping staff as needed to uphold high standards of cleanliness and service
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with linen handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good physical fitness to manage lifting and moving linen throughout shifts
