Emmanuel Care Home in Hessle is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team on Nights. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in the care home, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
- Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life and emotional well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a trusting relationship.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by following hygiene protocols.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members.
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans to meet individual needs.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.

- We are looking to recruit 1 x Care Assistants on Nights working between 33 & 44 hours per week on a rota basis this includes working alternative weekends.
- Extra £2 per hour for any overtime.
