Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced TIG Welder for a role based in Chester (CH2 4NE). This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled welders to join a growing team with ongoing work and excellent pay.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and ductwork.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute precise welding and assembly operations.
- Conduct pipe threading, rigging, and assembly of components according to specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely to transport materials around the construction site.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other welding techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge, basic math skills, calipers, micrometers, and fabrication processes.
- Experience with machining, soldering, ductwork installation, and assembly is advantageous.
- Ability to operate cranes safely as needed for specific tasks.
