We are looking for a confident, proactive and hands-on individual to join a well-established dental practice in the Cotswolds as an Assistant Practice Manager.
Our ideal candidate would be a GDC-registered Dental Nurse with leadership qualities who is ready to step up into management, although we are open to applications from individuals with strong dental experience and proven leadership potential.
This is a varied, hands-on role. Alongside supporting the management and development of the practice, you will be expected to remain actively involved in day-to-day practice operations, including providing support on reception and, where appropriately qualified, dental nursing when required.
The Role
Working closely with the Practice Owner and wider team, you will support:
- Day-to-day practice operations and team coordination
- Reception, patient journey and front-of-house support
- Dental nursing and clinical support, where GDC registered
- Team leadership, HR and staff development
- Compliance and practice standards
- Business development and continued practice growth
We are looking for someone who is flexible, approachable and happy to get involved wherever needed. This is not a purely desk-based management position, we want someone who enjoys being part of the day-to-day running of a busy dental practice.
About You
Ideally, you will have 1–2 years' leadership or senior-level experience within dentistry, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the confidence to support and motivate a team.
You will be proactive, solutions-focused and genuinely interested in developing your knowledge of all aspects of dental practice management and operations.
GDC registration as a Dental Nurse is highly desirable and would be our ideal, particularly for someone looking to move from a senior or lead nursing position into management.
For the right person, this role offers genuine longer-term progression, with the potential to develop into a Practice Manager/Practice Director position and future business opportunity.
