Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiting Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and possess a strong understanding of restaurant operations. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining a tidy dining area
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, offering recommendations and resolving any issues promptly
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required, adhering to safety protocols
- Manage guest payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable
- Strong knowledge of serving techniques and guest service principles
- Understanding of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and working as part of a team
