Solomon Commercials is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Auto Electrician to join our team at our Haslingden site. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with electrical components in automotive environments. The position involves working with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Installing new electrical systems or upgrades as required Diagnosing electrical faults in vehicles using specialised testing equipment
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring, sensors, switches, and other electrical components
- Conducting routine installs and maintenance on vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Interpreting technical diagrams and manuals to carry out repairs accurately
- Using hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Assisting with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment as necessary
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Auto Electrician (preferably with commercial vehicles)
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred

Experience
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar automotive electrical role
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and components
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for electrical repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy parts
- Experience working with diagnostic equipment and reading technical diagrams is preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to automotive repair environments

Pay: £12.71-£14.83 per hour
