Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window blind Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of window coverings, ensuring precise fitting and secure attachment. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction-related trades to utilise their skills in a specialised installation environment.
Responsibilities
- Measure windows accurately to determine appropriate treatment sizes and styles
- Install a range of window treatments including blinds, shutters, curtains, and shades using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and installation instructions
- Prepare work areas by clearing obstructions and protecting surrounding surfaces
- Collaborate with clients to ensure their specifications are met and address any concerns during installation
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during the installation process
- Complete all necessary documentation related to each installation project
Skills
- Proven experience with hand tools and power tools used in construction or installation work
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and construction painting is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to adapt to different installation scenarios
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights if necessary
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Prior experience in construction or related trades such as roofing, plumbing, or electrical work is desirable but not mandatory
