Finance Apprentice

GoodLaw is seeking an aspiring Finance Apprentice to join our lively, fast‑paced Finance team at our Head Office in Hove. Ideally, applicants will be educated to Maths A‑level standard (or equivalent). Full training on our processes will be provided.
Main Duties
· Answering incoming enquiries to the business, providing a high standard of customer care and directing queries to the appropriate colleague
· Processing invoices for our suppliers (Purchase Ledger)
· Administration of expenses
· Administration of Petty Cash
· Accurately loading information into our banking systems
· Processing transactions for third parties e.g. Land Registry / HMCTS
· Using Xero accounting software (training provided)
· Assisting with tasks for Month-end/ quarter-end & Year-end reporting
· Supporting and adhering to our anti-money laundering processes according to firm policy
· Other administrative tasks to support the team at the appropriate level
The ideal candidate will have
· Educated to Maths A-level standard (or equivalent)
· Accurate numerical skills
· Accurate use of databases and banking systems
· Highly organised and able to work to multiple deadlines
· Proof reading skills and excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work to deadlines
· Good Excel skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to interact with internal and external customers in an approachable, efficient way.
· Willing to learn and can work as part of a team as well as independently.
· Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts rules an advantage
· Can demonstrate strong time management skills in managing coursework and exam deadlines.
