Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bar Staff/Bar Manager. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring smooth operation of the bar, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Welcome guests and take orders efficiently, providing friendly and professional service at all times
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks,
- Manage bar stock levels, restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage of all items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system
- Monitor guest behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Organise shifts, manage staff rotas, and oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, preferably in bar service or management roles
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding licensing laws is desirable
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business schedule
