Role Overview
This is an entry level role that would be ideal for a college leaver, or a recently qualified apprentice. The Internal IT Technician plays a key role in delivering reliable, secure and efficient technology services across the business. Working within the Internal IT team, you will provide first and second line technical support, administer Microsoft 365 and endpoint technologies, and assist with maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure.
You will be responsible for ensuring colleagues receive an excellent IT support experience while contributing to the continual improvement of our technology services, security posture and operational efficiency. This role offers exposure to a broad and growing range of Microsoft technologies and provides opportunities to contribute to IT projects and business improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
On a daily basis you will be responsible for providing for any laptop / printer / mobile device issues, monitoring a support-based ticket system, supporting colleagues to resolve their issues. The role also requires supporting Windows OS systems including common applications support, hardware diagnosis and repair and some SaaS & server management.
You will also be required to train end users on usage of computer hardware and software, build out supporting documentation and ensure it is kept up to date. You will be the go-to-person for onboarding, movers and offboarding users, laptop configuration, setup and refreshes.
What To Bring
We’re looking for a personable problem solver capable of supporting end-users both in person and remotely. Someone who, along with a genuine curiosity to improve their technical knowledge and research new product capabilities, has some prior experience in a Modern Workplace, Technical Support or similar role. You will have exposure to handling issues in M365, Windows OS and basic knowledge in networking, system administration and information security.
You must have excellent communication skills, be able to deliver to deadlines and be prepared to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations and be able to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be joining the team due to business growth, so you’ll have the support of others in the team.
You’ll report into and work closely with the Business Systems Manager, Ben Midwinter (https://www.linkedin.com/in/benmidwinter/) and work collaboratively with the rest of the Internal IT team which is made up two Internal IT Engineers, an Applications Consultant and a CRM Consultant.
Success will be measured in your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaboration with others and the support you provide to our end users. You will be required to provide support to all stakeholders within the business, collaborate with external vendors. We provide the infrastructure and hardware for our colleagues to provide support to our customers and work effectively, both remotely and in the office.

Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential
- Previous experience working within an IT support environment.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Experience supporting desktop, laptop and mobile devices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, prioritising your workload and managing multiple tasks effectively.
Desirable
- Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
- Understanding of Active Directory.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management solutions.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
- Any exposure to monday.com SaaS platform would be beneficial.
