About Us
SML Geoscience is a multidisciplinary group of geotechnical engineers, geo-environmental consultants, laboratories and technical specialists, forming part of the wider SML Group of companies.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand for our specialist subsidence investigation services, we are seeking a Ground Investigations Coordinator to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual looking to develop their career within a growing and specialist business. An interest in construction, engineering, geology or the built environment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
The Role
As a Ground Investigations Coordinator, you will support the full lifecycle of insurance-led subsidence investigations, coordinating projects from initial instruction through to preparing and issuing factual reports.
This mainly office-based role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, coordination and producing clear, accurate documentation. You will work closely with colleagues, contractors, laboratories, insurers and customers to ensure investigations are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
Working within a small specialist team, you will be responsible for managing multiple investigations at various stages and helping maintain high standards of service and project delivery.

In addition, for those interested, there may be opportunities to become involved with site works from time to time to provide holiday cover or additional support to the wider team.

- Maintain clear and organised project records.
- Assist with reviewing and presenting project information (full training provided).
- Transport samples to the central processing hub as required.
- Undertake occasional site visits to provide operational support and holiday cover where required.
