We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented gardener to help elevate the presentation of Froyle Park’s grounds. This is not a general maintenance role — core tasks such as mowing and hedge cutting are already covered. Instead, we’re seeking someone who can bring an exceptional eye for detail and pride in their work, with a focus on keeping flower beds and key areas looking immaculate.
Pay: £18 per hour (on a self-employed basis).
Roughly 16 hours per week, dropping back to 8 hours during Winter months
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance flower beds to a high visual standard
- Planting, weeding, edging, and seasonal refresh of beds
- Selecting and introducing plants to improve colour, structure, and year-round appeal
- Ensuring high-visibility areas always look tidy, vibrant, and “event-ready”
- Identifying opportunities to improve the overall aesthetic of the grounds
What We’re Looking For
- Strong horticultural knowledge, particularly with flowers and planting schemes
- A genuine eye for detail and pride in presentation
- Someone proactive who takes ownership and suggests improvements
- Reliable, consistent, and able to work independently
- Experience in high-end gardens, estates, or venues is a bonus
