Job Purpose
- The overall role of the QC Laboratory Technician is to carry out physical property testing of produced foam and verify conformity against established specifications and criteria.
- Reporting to the QC Lead, hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (core hours Mon – Thurs 8.00 – 17.00, Fri 8.00 – 16.00)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Develop a thorough understanding of the machinery used for physical property testing and operate it safely to produce accurate test results, in full compliance with all relevant SSOPs and Risk Assessments.
· Take ownership of the testing, approval, and release of foam blocks and rolls to support the conversion process and timely despatch of goods.
· Maintain accurate and complete records of physical property testing within company-approved record-keeping systems.
· Communicate quality concerns, deviations, off-target results, and general non-conformances to the line manager as quickly as possible to enable effective preventative actions.
· Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for customers in line with agreed requirements.
· Liaise with and advise production teams on quality results and their interpretation to support product conformity and process control.
· Participate in the review, updating, and continuous improvement of methods, procedures, and operational efficiency.
· Meet agreed objectives and goals, delivering results in line with business and quality expectations.
· Ensure compliance with SSOPs and Risk Assessments through regular assessment, monitoring, and adherence checks.
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Pay: £25,775.88 per year
