Overview
We are looking for someone with prior experience in working in a pub or another commercial kitchen environment. Your job would be to cook and prepare meals in line with our specification and keep to health and food safety standard including cleaning of equipment. It’s a small kitchen and you’ll be expected to lone work once initial training is completed. Working hours would be rotated between 10am and 9pm. Pay is negotiable depending on experience by we are looking at up to £15 per hour. We are flexible in our approach to working so please apply whether looking for full or part time work.

Cheese Rollers, Shurdington. Winner of Gloucestershire Live Pub of the Year 2025. Free parking on site or commute via number 10 bus route which serves Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning and develop new recipes to enhance our offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to create a safe working environment for all staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or special dietary requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or similar hospitality background is highly desirable
- Ability to serve dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation
