We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Mechanic to join our growing team.
At H&H, no two days are the same. We work on a wide variety of vehicles, specialising in ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and 4x4s, while also maintaining a loyal customer base of cars and pickup trucks. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is confident turning their hand to all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our workshop team, you will:
- Carry out routine servicing in line with manufacturer schedules and workshop standards.
- Perform oil and filter changes, fluid checks, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles.
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines and transmissions as required.
- Identify and rectify electrical faults, including wiring issues, charging systems, and lighting circuits.
- Install and troubleshoot accessories such as winches, lighting kits, GPS units, and other electrical equipment.
- Conduct road tests and off-road test rides where appropriate to verify repairs and diagnose faults.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to efficiently resolve mechanical and technical issues.
Skills & Experience Required
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a motorcycle, ATV, powersports, agricultural vehicle, or multi-vehicle technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with electrical and electronic systems.
- Solid knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, and brake repairs.
- Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop management software.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with Yamaha ATVs, motorcycles, or other leading powersports brands.
- Relevant technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, IMI, or equivalent).
