Dance Teacher (Musical Theatre) – Saturday Mornings
Saturday mornings | 9.45am – 1.00pm
Do you believe dance should tell a story?
Can you switch from the energy of Wicked to the emotion of a contemporary piece? Do you love creating choreography that challenges, inspires and gives young performers confidence?
If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Footlights Worcester is an award-winning stage school, providing high-quality training for young performers aged 7–18. Established for six years, we pride ourselves on creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged and inspired to become confident performers and confident people.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative and reliable Dance Teacher to join our team from September.
The Role
Working with students aged 7–18, you will:
- Choreograph musical theatre productions.
- Deliver engaging dance classes in a variety of styles outside of rehearsal periods.
- Inspire students of all abilities to develop their technique, confidence and creativity.
- Work closely with our teaching team to create exciting, high-quality performances.
- Help maintain the positive, supportive and inclusive atmosphere that Footlights is known for.
There will also be opportunities for additional work during the week and throughout our holiday programmes.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has strong training in dance.
- Is confident teaching Musical Theatre, Commercial and Contemporary dance.
- Is equally happy choreographing a large production number or developing expressive contemporary work.
- Has experience working with children and young people.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers.
- Holds an enhanced DBS certificate (or is willing to obtain one).
What We Offer
At Footlights, we invest in our staff as much as our students. We offer:
- Ongoing mentoring and support.
- Safeguarding and First Aid training.
- Opportunities for additional teaching throughout the week and school holidays.
- A friendly, supportive team environment.
- The chance to make a genuine difference in young people's lives through the performing arts.
If you're passionate about creating exceptional dance experiences and want to be part of an ambitious and growing stage school, we'd love to hear from you.
