The Role
UK Gutter Maintenance are looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our office team in Eaglescliffe.
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident on the telephone and comfortable dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis.
The role will cover general office administration, dealing with incoming enquiries, assisting with quotations and keeping customer and job records up to date.
An important part of the role will also be keeping on top of enquiries and quotations that have already been sent out. This will involve contacting customers by telephone and email to follow up quotations, checking whether they require any further information and making sure potential work is progressed.
This is not a telesales role and there are no sales targets. We are simply looking for someone who is comfortable speaking to customers and happy to follow things up in a time sensitive manner.
Main Duties
- Answering incoming telephone calls and emails
- General day-to-day office administration
- Dealing with customer enquiries received by telephone, email and through our website
- Following up outstanding quotations by telephone and email
- Keeping track of new enquiries and making sure they are dealt with
- Assisting with the preparation and issue of quotations
- Updating customer and job information on our internal systems
- Following up recommendations made within completed service reports and surveys
- Liaising with our Operations Team regarding scheduled and ongoing works
- Assisting with tender documents and customer paperwork where required
- Preparing documents, filing and data entry
- Providing general administrative support to the Directors and wider office team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an office, administration or customer service role
- Is confident and professional on the telephone
- Has good written communication skills
- Is organised and able to keep on top of several tasks at once
- Is comfortable following up customers and outstanding quotations
- Has good attention to detail
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, Outlook and general computer systems
- Is reliable and happy working as part of a small office team
- Is willing to learn and take ownership of their workload
Previous experience within roofing or construction is not required. Full training will be provided on our services and internal systems.
Pay: £25,000.00 per year
