Shifts Required: Day & Night Shift Vacancies
Days 08.00-20.00
Nights 20.00-08.00
Over a 7 day week, including some weekends, bank / public holidays
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a care assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Skills:
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices
- Understanding of personal hygiene and infection control procedures
- Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
