Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Co-ordinator/Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring smooth practice operations. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort and understanding.
- Assist the dental team during procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-up visits, and treatment plans efficiently using practice management IT systems.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment options, costs, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with GDPR and practice protocols.
- Manage patient enquiries both face-to-face and via telephone or email with professionalism and empathy.
- Support the practice’s administrative functions, including scheduling, billing, and stock management.
- Uphold strict health and safety standards within the clinical environment in line with current guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with patients and team members.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is preferred.
- Competent IT skills to manage digital records, appointment systems, and other practice software efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering outstanding patient service.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a busy dental environment.
