Cook Job description
- It is the cooks responsibility to ensure that nutritious,balanced and palatable meals are provided for the residents.
- The manager will inform the cook of any necessary special dietary needs. The cook is responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and food storage areas are spotlessly clean at all times.
- The cook is responsible for instructing the kitchen assistant and organising his / her work routine
- The cleaning rota must be kept up to date
- All records and documentation for food storage must be kept up to date
- The cook must be aware of the C.H.I.P and C.O.S.H.H regulations. The cook is responsible for ordering all necessary food and drinks to ensure that the menus are maintained. If a residents requests anything outside the menu the cook must do everything possible to provide the same.
- The cook must hold a current hygiene certificate
- The cook must wear the appropriate attire which must be clean and tidy at all times.
- The cook must organise and ensure the rotation of stock
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
