Cherished Care UK are looking for new team members, across the East Devon area, with individuals requiring support in Sidmouth, Exmouth, Budleigh, Cullompton, Seaton, Honiton, Axminster and Ottery St Mary.
On a part time or full time basis, this can be flexible around the right candidate.
We are also recruiting another role to cover weekends, working 6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday.

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals, helping them to achieve greater independence and wellbeing. This role involves working closely with children, young people, and adults offering mentoring, support, and educational activities in a caring environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support to children, young people and adults fostering their development and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and organisational tasks
- Implement educational programmes, including teaching basic skills and life lessons
- Provide mentoring to encourage positive behaviour and social skills
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care plans are followed
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times
Skills
- Experience or interest in working with children, young people and adults is highly desirable
- Lived experience is also welcome
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate approach with patience and understanding
- Ability to teach new skills clearly and effectively
- Organised with good time management abilities
- Adaptability to work in dynamic environments while maintaining professionalism
- Commitment to safeguarding practices and confidentiality standards
