Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler Room Leader to oversee and nurture our youngest learners in a vibrant early childhood education setting in. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their development through personalised care and educational activities. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the toddler group, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Monitor individual progress and tailor activities to meet each child's needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development, behaviour, and daily experiences.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are strictly followed, including hygiene practices and accident prevention measures.
- Organise daily routines such as meal times, naps, and play sessions to create a structured environment.
- Manage the nursery team effectively, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
- Keep accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and any incidents or concerns.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership abilities within an early childhood or childcare setting.
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly in nursery or toddler environments.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that stimulate learning while ensuring safety standards are maintained.
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanour with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
