Receptionist / admin assistant in Accountancy Practice

Job Description
Responsible for providing a high level of service to our clients to include:
- General typing, telephone and reception duties
- Meet and greet clients and visitors
- Manage appointments and reception diaries
- Control, monitor and order stationery and office provisions
- Control and monitor petty cash
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post as required
- Responsibility for banking and maintaining paying in book
- Scanning, filing and shredding for office
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients
- General assistance, advice, help and support to colleagues and clients
- Attend training courses
- Adhere to internal systems, processes, procedures, guidelines and standards including monthly and annual KPI’s
The working hours are 22.5 hours per week over 3 days (Wednesday, Thursday plus 1 other day to be mutually agreed) plus holiday cover.
About you
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- GCSE's (or equivalent) Grade C / 4 or above
- Experience working in a UK accounting practice / professional office
- Comfortable working as part of a team or independently
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge and experience accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Confident and self motivated who can demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
- Ability to suggest new things or go outside of your comfort zone to grow and develop
- Ambitious, hardworking and passionate about delivering an excellent service to our clients and working within our successful team and the accounting industry
