Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children, fostering their development in a safe, nurturing environment. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise and support children during play, learning, and meal times, ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and contributing to personalised care plans
- Support the implementation of the nursery’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead by example in demonstrating management skills and leadership within the team
- Assist in organising nursery routines and activities that encourage early childhood development
- Drive responsibilities may include transporting children safely when required
Qualifications
- Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or similar setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and early years curriculum frameworks
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
- Passionate about childcare with a genuine interest in supporting children's learning journeys
