About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead one of our residential children's homes. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader who is committed to delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring it is managed effectively, safely, and in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
You will lead and inspire your team, promote a nurturing and therapeutic environment, and ensure every child receives high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children's home.
- Ensure the home operates in accordance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
- Promote the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all children and young people.
- Develop, supervise, and motivate the staff team through effective leadership and regular supervision.
- Maintain high standards of care planning, risk management, and record keeping.
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance management.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers, education providers, and other professionals.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home for Ofsted inspections.
- Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and positive outcomes for every young person.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage the smooth day-to-day operation of the home.
