Job Summary:
Beech Hill Country House is seeking a professional and customer-focused Bartender to join our hospitality team. Set within a historic and tranquil estate, our bar service reflects elegance, warmth, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will provide an exceptional guest experience, prepare premium beverages with skill and care, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere that defines Beech Hill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a range of classic and bespoke cocktails, wines, and other beverages with precision and flair.
- Deliver exceptional guest service in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Share knowledge of our drinks menu, local gins and whiskeys, and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and ambiance of the bar area to the highest standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs proactively.
- Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Support events, weddings, and private functions as required.
- Collaborate with the wider food and beverage team to ensure smooth and consistent service.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel, fine dining, or luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
- Impeccable attention to detail and presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A calm, composed demeanour with the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and events.
