Role – Driving Operative – Loading shovel driver
Salary - £28,014.55 + 30% shift allowance (where applicable)
Location - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1XA
Pattern of Work – 42 hours (shifts)
What you need to know about the role
As a Driver Operator at our Coal Handling Plant (CHP), you will support our busy manufacturing environments by transferring our raw materials across our Scunthorpe Site to start the steelmaking process.
This role will see you supporting the local Area Manufacturing Manager & Operations Manager as part of a team of Logistics professionals to achieve optimum levels of operational targets, deliveries, customer service and health and safety objectives
You will be part of a proactive manufacturing team, working towards production targets and ensuring the highest health and safety standards are maintained throughout. Health and Safety is our number one priority and as such you will receive all the relevant training in this area to ensure you have the highest level of knowledge to maintain a safe working environment.
Contributing to initiatives related to improving health and safety performance, you will take an active part in risk assessment/hazard identification for all plant/operational activities and taking account of appropriate regulations

To be considered for this role you must:
- Loading shovel Licence and experience
- Be physically fit as the role can be quite physically demanding
- Be flexible and able to work a variety of shift patterns to cover for holidays, sickness, and unforeseen issues.
- Have an understanding of the implementation of basic vehicle maintenance
- Be able to facilitate optimum productivity and safety
