Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Head Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are available when needed
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
- Adhere to health and safety policies, including proper handling of equipment and food products
- Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or events is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience in restaurant service or serving is advantageous but not essential
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory
