Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Slinger Signaller to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of loads using lifting equipment on-site. This role requires excellent communication skills, a good understanding of construction procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Signalling crane operators to facilitate precise lifting and placement of materials and equipment
- Assisting with the rigging and securing of loads prior to lifting operations
- Communicating clearly with crane operators, ground personnel, and other team members to coordinate movements
- Conducting safety checks on lifting gear and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining accurate records of lifts and equipment inspections
- Supporting the mobilisation and demobilisation of construction materials on-site
- Adhering to all site safety protocols and procedures at all times
Skills
- Previous construction experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of site safety practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of conveying instructions clearly under pressure
- Valid driving licence, with the ability to operate company vehicles if required
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in rigging and signalling tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and work at heights if necessary
