Quality Engineer Role

The role:
We are now looking to strengthen our quality team by adding a full-time position of Quality/Engineer. It’s an exciting and varied job and a real opportunity to start or continue a career in Quality Assurance. You’ll be responsible for the following aspects of our quality management system:
· Sample Inspection of in-house manufactured components.
· Performing First off inspection and authorisation
· Final inspection of component parts
· FAIR creation to AS9102 including dimensional measurement and report creation.
· Programming and ensuring the correct use of automated measuring equipment including coordinate measurement machines, optical measuring systems, profile measurement equipment, and surface test equipment.
· In-house gauge calibration and procurement.
About You:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is willing to take a proactive approach to personal development and the development of the role within the quality team. We can train all essential technical skills within the business so its crucial you “fit” within the culture of the organisation. Specific qualities that would help successfully perform the role include:
· A passion for learning and skill development.
· Attention to detail.
· Engineering and manufacturing experience.
· A knowledge of measurement and inspection techniques.
· A background in either machining or inspection.
· Good computer skills.
· A willingness to be involved and make a difference.
Previous experience of working within a AS9100/ISO9001 manufacturing environment along with a sound knowledge of inspection techniques and processes would be an advantage, but more emphasis will be put on the personal attributes that would make a successful Quality Engineer.

This is a full-time and permanent position based on 40 hours over either a four - or five-day week. Other benefits include:
