Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in materials handling, stock management, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities
- Receive, check and safely store incoming stock and deliveries.
- Pick and pack customer, home shopping and charity orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare products, charity merchandise and campaign materials for dispatch.
- Ensure orders are correctly labelled, documented and dispatched within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock checks and stocktaking.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock and investigate discrepancies where required.
- Process returned goods and reinstate stock where appropriate.
- Load and unload deliveries safely when required.
- Liaise with courier and delivery providers to support the smooth dispatch of orders.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.
- Follow all company health and safety, manual handling and operational procedures.
- Handle products and stock carefully to minimise damage or loss.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the warehouse, fulfilment and wider business.
- Support the achievement of fulfilment, accuracy and dispatch targets.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required by the business.
Person Specification
- Previous warehouse, fulfilment, logistics or similar experience is desirable.
- A full, valid driving licence is desirable.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties associated with the role.
