Personal Care Assistant (Female Only)
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide high-quality, person-centred support to a lady with a neuromuscular condition in her own home. The successful candidates will play a vital role in promoting her independence, dignity, and quality of life by providing support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, clinical care, household tasks, and social activities.
This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive environment. Previous experience in complex care or a PA setting is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support clients with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with care plans and dietary restrictions
- Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document accurately
- Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour to relevant healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update individual care plans regularly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in complex care or PA poistion is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and case management is advantageous
- Certification in first aid is beneficial but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with creating and following personalised care plans and delivering patient-centred care

Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
