Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team, including washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, utensils, cookware, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Ensure all dishes, trays, and utensils are properly washed, sanitized, and stored correctly
- Support the organization of stock storage areas and assist with inventory management as needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed diligently
- Help with setting up dining areas or service stations in preparation for meal service
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to promote a safe working environment for everyone
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen hygiene standards is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
