Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, reliable and dedicated Housekeeping Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our premises to include Basil Sheils Bar & Restaurant and our multiple Air BnB sites, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleaning, working independently and attention to detail. Applicants MUST be aged over 21yrs, have their own transport to travel to each site, be trustworthy and have a minimum of 2yrs professional cleaning/housekeeping experience
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities in accordance with company standards
- Change bed linen, replenish supplies, and ensure all surfaces are spotless
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and floors
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Assist with laundry duties as required
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within designated timeframes to meet operational schedules
Experience
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is highly desirable
- Janitorial or cleaning experience will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
