Commercial Partnerships & Business Development Manager (CVIT)

About Us
We are a newly established UK Cash & Valuables in Transit (CVIT) company with all key infrastructure already in place, including regulatory approvals, ISO 9001 certification, secure fleet, office and operational systems.
As our operations will initially be centred around Heathrow Airport, we are looking for an experienced industry professional with an established network within the Heathrow cargo and secure logistics community.
This is not a traditional sales role. We are seeking someone who already has strong industry relationships and can introduce our company to the key organisations required to commence commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with airline cargo departments operating at Heathrow Airport.
- Establish relationships with Heathrow cargo terminal operators and cargo security teams.
- Develop relationships with customs brokers and customs clearing agents operating at or serving Heathrow Airport.
- Build partnerships with freight forwarding companies specialising in secure and high-value cargo through Heathrow.
- Develop commercial relationships with established Cash & Valuables in Transit (CVIT) companies operating within the Heathrow logistics community for subcontracting, operational support and future collaboration.
- Arrange meetings with key decision-makers and represent the company professionally.
- Identify opportunities for long-term commercial partnerships.
- Maintain an organised database of industry contacts and business opportunities.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Managing Director.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK CVIT, secure logistics, airline cargo, freight forwarding or high-value transportation industry.
- Existing professional relationships within the Heathrow cargo and secure logistics sector.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
3 Month Probationary Period
The successful candidate will be employed on an initial three-month probationary period.
During this period, the successful candidate will be expected to establish professional working relationships with:
- At least two (2) airline cargo departments operating at Heathrow Airport.
- At least two (2) customs brokers or customs clearing agents serving Heathrow Airport.
- At least two (2) freight forwarding companies specialising in secure or high-value cargo through Heathrow Airport.
- At least two (2) established CVIT companies operating within the Heathrow logistics community.
The successful candidate will also be expected to:
- Arrange meetings with relevant decision-makers.
- Maintain all contacts and meeting records.
- Submit weekly progress reports to the Managing Director.
Successful completion of the probationary period will be based on achieving the above objectives and demonstrating the ability to establish strategic relationships that support the company's commercial operations.
